Tim Hortons Smile Cookie
This year, 100 per cent of the proceeds from Tim Hortons Smile Cookie sales will go to the Lethbridge School Division Poverty Intervention Committee.
The Division is proud to partner with Tim Hortons Lethbridge for this year's Smile Cookie campaign from April 28 to May 4.
Child poverty remains a serious issue in Lethbridge, impacting over 10 per cent of children under 15 (2002 Lethbridge Child and Family Poverty Report). Food bank usage, fee subsidies and support requests are rising.
The Poverty Intervention Committee provides essentials like winter clothing, weekend food packs, school snacks and other urgent supplies to students in need.
With over 12,000 students enrolled, more than 1,800 could benefit from increased access to basic necessities.
